Stone Love Sunset
December 25th, 2009
I dropped a tear more rare than pearl
From an eye of emerald green
As I remembered the topaz shore
On the sea of aquamarine
The sky above was a sapphire swirl
And the sun shone ruby red
Diamonds glistened on the waves
Of the deep sea crystal bed
Your eyes were shot with turquoise
With moonstone as a base
Silver in the shadows
And gold etched in your face
A lightning bolt of spinel
As sharp as tiger-eye
Struck you with an onyx glow
As the amethyst slowly died
A moment in a lifetime
A second in a year
A bone into an opal
A crystal to a tear
